How much does it cost for a U.S. passport?

Acceptable methods of payment are:

  • Online payment at pay.gov (available for adult passport renewals only).

  • The U.S. Embassy and Consular Agency cashiers accept the following forms of payment for fees:

    • The U.S. Embassy in Kingston accepts all major U.S. or dual currency credit cards with a valid photo ID (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express), U.S. Dollars, Jamaican Dollars, International Postal Money Orders, or Traveler’s Checks (Cheques). Personal Checks are NOT accepted!
    • The U.S. Consular Agency in the Cayman Islands accepts credit cards (American Express, Diners, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa) or debit cards displaying MasterCard or Visa logos as its only satisfactory methods of payment. They do not accept checks, drafts, money orders or cash.
    • The U.S. Consular Agency in Montego Bay accepts Jamaican cash and all major U.S. credit cards with a valid photo ID (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express).
